Happiest member of the Class of 1946 yesterday was Radford Brokaw of Dunellen, New Jersey, who sped through the rigamarole of registration faster than any other Freshman and so won for himself a free subscription to the CRIMSON.
His laurels were somewhat ill-begotten, however, for he was coached throughout the whole process by his brother, Caleb Brokaw '43, who apparently had prior knowledge concerning the ritual of signing up. Brokaw Major even went to the extent of taking pen-in-hand himself so as to insure that no time would be lost.
Young Brokaw surprised the gallery of button-hole experts by refusing the offer of a free subscription to the Lampoon, saying he was afraid that if he accepted the gift he would be under moral obligation to laugh at Lampy's pleasantries.
