ADAMS WINS, ELIOT AND KIRKLAND TIE

A three-hit hard ball performance by pitcher Les Mendelsohn of Kirkland House did not stop Eliot from settling for a 5 to 5 tie with the Deacons last Wednesday. Mendelson, opposed by the Elephants' pitcher Vic Ekelberry, whiffed 13 batsmen. The Deacon soft-ballers dragged down an 11-5 win over Eliot House Wednesday.

A last inning triple by Adams' Dick Arnos provided the margin for a 5 to 4 hard ball victory over Dunster House. The Funsters' four run limit was imposed by Gold Coast pitcher Fred Chase. Adams took a softball game from the Commuters by default.

Pitcher Norm Cameron turned in a 6 to 0 softball shutout for the Leverett A. C. for a clean win over the Puritans. Winthrop's pitcher Ptarys was quickly chased by the Bunny swatters. The Funsters defaulted to Lowell in their softball tilt.
