Fire-baller Dana Bresnahan yesterday pitched his way into the baseball Hall of Fame, as he and his comrades of company D conquered a fighting Dunster team, 4 to 3, to capture Harvard's intramural baseball championship.
Aided somewhat by a high wind which stirred up clouds of dust, Bresnahan held the usually potent Funsters hitless throughout the seven-inning game. Long George Beckmann of Dunster limited the V-12ers to four hits. Most of the scoring came as a result of countless errors on both sides.
This was the last game in the spring intramural competition. During the season, the basketball and baseball championships have gone to Companies H and D respectively, with Dunster, leading the civilian House league, the runner-up each time. Dunster took the softball crown by virtue of a 4 to 2 extra-inning defeat of company D last week.
