LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
Camp Thomas Seabees stopped the latest Crimson winning streak at two games Saturday when they beat the Varsity nine, 6 to 2, in the second half of a home-and-home series. The first game, which was played here last month, was won by Harvard, 5 to 4.
Coach Stahl's men have now won six games, while losing three. This Camp Thomas team is a veteran aggregation, composed entirely of former college and pro-players. Four men are former major leaguers.
Stalwart Jack Wallace once again took the mound for the Crimson. He yielded only five hits, while striking out seven. The Seabees were outhit by the Stahlmen, who collected a total of nine hits. Four runs in the first inning, however, assured the bulldozer boys their victory.
Heavy hitters for the Crimson were rightfielder Sherm Clark and catcher Bill Harding, each with two hits in four trips to the plate. Lestfielder Klepper led the Seabees attack, also with two for four. *batted for Lutz in ninth
