Crimson Booters Beat Medford High by 5-2

Scoring three times in the second half, Coach Jim McDonald's Crimson booters opened the fall soccer season last Wednesday by taking the measure of a well-trained Medford High squad, 5 to 2. Star of the game was Roy Heisler, who notched all five goals for the Crimson. Heisler will leave tomorrow for the army, thus creating a big gap in McDonald's offensive. The squad that beat Medford was actually a combination of A and B team players.

McDonald has broken the squad into two teams of almost equal strength, with the B team made up predominately of Freshmen and less experienced men. Tomorrow the A outfit will meet Worcester Tech on Soldiers Field and the B booters will travel to New Hampshire for a contest with Phillips Exeter Academy.
