LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
Nicholas J. Callahan '51 of Grays Hall and Lawrence will load the Freshman football team against his teammates of last year when the Yardling eleven faces Exeter tomorrow.
Callan, who was elected captain yesterday, played for Lawrence High before his three year stretch in the Marine Corps and this subsequent transfer to Exeter. A 186-pound tackle, Callahan takes over the captaincy of an injury-riddled squad in tomorrow's fray.
Two regular starters, halfback Carl Bottenfield and center Paul O'Brien, and second-string back and lineman Phil Isenberg and Jim Brennan are still doubtful participants in the Exeter contest as a result of injuries sustained in last week's tilt with the Dartmouth freshmen.
Coach Lamar is grooming Dave Warden to move into Bottenfield's left halfback slot if the doctors pronounce the Oklahoman unable to play, and Sam Butler will probably be in the center billet.
