H.D.C. 'Criminal' Deceives Janitors

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

William A. West '48 may aspire to a place in a most honorable and respected profession--the theatre. He may even feel that he has achieved that place. But to the janitorial staff of the University he is a definite criminal type.

West, the lead in the impending Harvard Dramatic Club production of "An Enemy of The People," was pictured on a bogus police "wanted" poster, merely for publicity purposes of course. However the men who keep the University clean did not see it that way. The actor's features were a bit too realistically felonious for the janitors to percieve the hoax.

As a result of the misunderstanding the placards were torn down from the bulletin boards which were considered too sacrosanct for the posting of police circulars.

The case of the "too real ad" will be happily resolved tomorrow when the publicity blurbs are replaced and the janitors are oriented on the relative harmlessness of Mr. West.
