LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
Students fractures, cuts, and sprains resulting form springtime pranks and other causes will not faze University Yard Police, Chief Alvin R. Randall predicted yesterday.
Yard police are attending a week-long course in first aid techniques, Randall explained, "in order to raise the department to an even higher standard of efficiency than it now possesses."
Teaching the course is Irving Appleby, author of a first aid manual used in training many municipal police forces.
The Yard Police have had no need for a knowledge of first aid during the past few years, Randall reported; but he declared that "we need first aid to take care of injured students should any emergencies arise."
