Grand Jury Tries Prowler Suspect

Francis J. Gallagher, arraigned yesterday morning as the prowler who terrorized two Radcliffe houses Thursday night, will go before a Cambridge grand jury within the next three days.

Police will request indictment for at least one rape, one attempted rape, and several lesser counts resulting from the Radcliffe intrusion, Gallagher is being held on $30,000 bond.

Inspector Joseph P. Breen arrested Gallagher Friday night in a North Cambridge restaurant on suspicion of a rape on November 8, another last Tuesday, and an attempted rape on Thursday. He wan tried for rape and acquitted three years ago.

None of the seven Radcliffe students who saw the prowier were able to aid police in establishing Gallagher's guilt, but two assault and rape victims gave positive identification.
