Complete codification of all regulations governing extra-curricular activities at the College will come within the next month, Associate Dean Watson announced yesterday, as the faculty's Committee on Student Affairs advanced work on an all-inclusive set of rules to appear shortly after the spring vacation.
No change in policy on student activities is reflected by the action, Associate Dean Watson declared, since "the College intends to continue its general laissez-faire attitude." All regulations will be subject to Student Council approval before taking effect.
Rules Booklet Planned
A pamphlet, similar to "Rules and Regulations Regarding College Studies" will state policy on distribution of printed matter, publications, rallies, posters, finances, and use of buildings.
"So many groups have come to my office requesting information as to the extent of their powers that we are convinced that the proposed rules statement is very much in order. Associate Dean Watson said. "Under the plan, all organizations will know exactly what is expected of them."
A similar promulgation of regulations was enacted a year ago, but failed to solve many of the newer problems which arose since its inauguration.
