Errors Hurt Nine In 14-10 Loss to Geo. Washington

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Two errors by shortstop Mort Dunn, added to a wild pitch and two hit batsmen by hurler Charley Roche were the most unfortunate factors in a disastrous fifth inning at Washington, D.C. last Wednesday which allowed George Washington University to score six runs and coast to a 14-10 win over the Crimson.

Roche had followed starter Johnny Hansen to the mound after the former gave up five runs and seven hits in his four inning stint. Wally Coulson and Bill Caulfield sparked the Crimson attack in the third and fifth with two and three hits respectively.

Cliff Crosby continued his heavy hitting of the previous day by cracking out a triple in his one appearance at the plate as a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning.
