The Fogg Art Museum opens an exhibition of 30 drawings from its own collection today to herald the publication of "One Hundred Master Drawings," a new art book edited by Miss Agues Mongan, the Fogg's Curator of Drawings.
An exhibition of Venetian Paintings and Drawings, Fench Paintings, and Coptic Art will open at the Fogg on Thursday.
The 30 drawings which go on exhibition today plus 70 others from private and public collections throughout the country make up the illustrations of Miss Mongan's book. The impetus for the book came from the enthusiastic response of art connoisseurs, critics, and collectors to last year's show of great drawings.
The exhibition will continue at the Fogg until the end of January.
