Basketball Team Leaves for Ithaca; Not Favored to Beat Cornell Today

By Albert J. Feldman

Cornell, which has a fair average of .500 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball, plays host to Harvard, which has no EIBL record at all except a string of zeros, in a basketball contest tonight at Ithaca.

Ten men and Coach Bill Barclay embarked on a sleeper last night, and unless the Crimson quintet has been in hibernation since December, the chances are slim that it will awake in time to gain its first victory in the past fourteen starts.

Barclay has picked only three of his live starters for the game. The others will not be named until the starting buzzer tonight, depending on whom the Cornellians start.

John Rockwell and Bob Bramhall will definitely start at forward, and Dick Covey will be at guard. The other guard will come from Chip Gannon, Steve Davis, or Ralph Potrillo, but all will probably see action. Either Bill Prior of Ed Smith will start at center.
