Ivy Films became a business organization instead of a club with the ratification of its new constitution this week, retiring president Charles A. Yoder '49 revealed last night.
The action was taken to facilitate public release of "Touch of the Times," Ivy Films' 1949 production, and to allow members to share whatever profits may accrue from its showing, Yoder said.
Voting under the new constitution, the organization elected Lawrence Ward '50 president for 1949 and named George M. Kurzon '52 and Lewis V. Brence '52 members at large of the executive committee.
The group will open its first membership competition Wednesday in PBH.
