Union's Prescott St. Room Stops Serving

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Freshman will no longer be served in the Prescott Street dining room of the Union. William A. Heaman, manager of the dining service, announced yesterday. However the room itself will remain open to those who get their food at the other counters.

Heaman said the move is an "experiment," and has been put into effect because there are fewer men eating in the Union this year than in other postwar seasons. "We found that the employees who worked in the Prescott room were busy only a few minutes each meal," he declared.

The closing of the Prescott hot table which was opened during the war, leaves the Union with only two serving counters. Heaman expressed doubt, however, that congestion at meal-times will be greatly increased.
