Band to Spell Out In Stadium Teams That Beat Green

The band has adopted a now form of psychological warfare against Dartmouth and will perform a pre-game drill spelling out the names of the four teams that have so far beaten or tied the Big Green, band director Malcolm Holmes '28 disclosed yesterday.

At noon, the band will start its traditional march from Memorial Hall through the Square to Soldiers Field, followed by a 105 piece Dartmouth band. Just before the game starts, Holy Cross, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Lehigh will be spoiled out in front of the visitors' stands.

The band will form a semi-circle in front of the visitors' stands and introduce a new Dartmouth medley by John Finnegan '47.

The Dartmouth band has not yet revealed its plans, but according to Harvard band manager Paul A. Lucey '51, "A Harvard man, Francis E. Lawlor '44, directs the Big Green, and it ought to be the best that will come to Soldiers Field this fall."
