Speaking Parts Open For Commencement

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Competition for parts in the Commencement exercises opens today.

The competition is open to all seniors or graduate students who received honor degrees at Midyears or who are honor candidates for graduation in June. Those who desire to compete should notify Chairman Mason Hammond, Professor of Greek and Latin and of History, Kirkland House N-11.

Drafts must be turned in to the Chairman by April 1. Three speakers will be selected: a senior to give a Latin Part, a senior to give an English degree to give an English Part. Speeches will be limited to six minutes and should be on topics of general interest. They may be written especially for the occasion, or may represent the conclusions of research or honor theses.
