McCagg Wins in Winthrop Election

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Louis B. McCagg '52--whose name was left off the original Student Council ballot--won the Winthrop House Council seat yesterday in a special late election.

McCagg tallied 121 in the preferential election in which 292 votes were cast. Trailng him by three votes was James C. Fullerton '40.

Fourteen crew members in Winthrop, who left for Princeton yesterday morning, had been specially contacted Thursday night to give them a chance to vote. It had been felt they should be given a chance to vote since they constituted an important element in McCagg's support.

McCagg, who is from Cambridge, was captain of the freshman crew last year and is now varsity stroke.

Adams and Eliot Houses will have reelections Monday because of discrepancies in their ballot checking Thursday.
