Jordan Works Lions' T-Plays

The football team wasted no time yesterday licking figurative or actual wounds. Coach Lloyd Jordan sent the able-bodied men through a full dress drill, including a long offensive scrimmage and an intensive defense drill against Jayvees using Columbia plays.

Although such regulars as Fred Ravreby, John Culver, and Hank Rate had to sit out the proceedings. Jordan had the squad working out the bugs in some of the plays, while the defensive session gave the team its first introduction to the T-formation as interpreted by Lou Little of Columbia.

The injuries seem to be of the "bump" sort, and the squad should be in good shape for the Columbia game, which Jordan expects to be "tough."

Clearly not satisfied with the team's recent showing, Jordan admitted that the backs were running a bit faster.
