Cambridge elections are held under the proportional representation system, and yesterday only first choices were tabulated. Election officials hope to complete work this morning. The official standings yesterday: Mayor Edward A. Crane '35 (CCA), elected; Edward J. Sullivan (ind), 3,346 votes; Joseph A. Deguglielmo '29 (CCA), 2,974; W. Donnison Swan '19 (CCA), 2,817; Francis L. Sennott (ind), 2,766; Hyman Pill (CCA), 2,673; John D. Lynch (ind), 2,565; Chester A. Higley (CCA), 2,438; and Thomas F. MacNamara (ind), 2,113.
