Two Sophomores Have Accident After Dance

A fire hydrant, an electric power pole, and a tree on Soldiers Field Road combined in succession to stop a car and two College students returning from a formal dance in Boston early yesterday morning.

Richard M. Adams '53 and Boylston A. Hinds '53 were both "doing fairly well" last night at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Cambridge where police took the pair for treatment of injuries. Nurses expect both to be able to leave the hospital within a few days.

Adams was the more seriously hurt, with cuts on the forehead. Hinds was burned on the neck, but since the car did not catch fire the origin of the burns is not clear. Both men were thrown from the car in the crash.
