Third baseman Ray Maesaka hit 2 for 3 Saturday afternoon to spark the freshman baseball team to a 5 to 2 victory over Exeter at Soldiers Field. Maesaka scored twice and hit a triple in the eighth inning, the only extra base hit of the game.

Exeter pitchers Merrill May ran into trouble in the first inning when two walks to Maesaka and shortstop Ed Krinsky were converted into two Harvard runs on two passed balls. Krinsky crossed the plate again in the second inning.

The prep schoolers were held scoreless by lefty John Cooke until the ninth inning, when-three singles and a third base error allowed two runs.
