Templeton Briggs, Jr. '54, who was slugged and robbed when he was picked up by a car on Harvard Bridge early Tuesday morning, was reported in "generally good condition" at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital last night.
He was treated for a brain concussion and a lacerated head, but is now out of bed and feeling well. He will be held for observation for an indefinite period.
Police found Briggs wandering along Lockwood Street, Jamaica Plain, in a dazed condition. He said he had no idea how he had reached there.
The crooks who picked Briggs up knocked him out as soon as he entered the car and took his wallet which contained 25 dollars.
