Randall Picks Judges For Ames Semifinals, Starting December 9

Two judges and four Boston lawyers will preside at the third-year semi-finals of the Law' School's Ames Competition, Charles H. Randall. Jr. '47, Faculty Assistant in Charge announced last night.

In a last-minute change, the Honorable John Biggs, Jr. Chief Judge of the U. S. Court of Appeals, 3rd circuit. Will substitute for Judge Herbert Goodrich of the same bench, and mediate Cardozo vs. Casner clubs Tuesday.

Boston lawyers John T. Noonan'19 and Warren F. Farr'27 will be the associate judges in a habeas corpus meet case concerning the detention of an alien.

The Honorable Harrie Brigham Chase, of the U.S. Court of Appeals, 2d circuit, assisted by Bailey Aldrich '28 and Benjamin Leven, local lawyers, will preside when the Casner Equity and Scott clubs meet December 11. These will argue the constitutionally of a federal wage earning tax law.
