Despite Harvard's 0 and 8 record in Ivy League competition, a Back Bay resident took enough interest in last week's Cornell basketball game to make book on it, and was caught.

He was arrested for illegally taking bets and will be tried under the new anti-gambling act, which requires the operator of a gambling establishment to purchase a stamp from the federal income tax bureau. When this stamp is purchased, it seems the operator can then be arrested by the Massachusetts authorities for gambling, which is illegal in this state.
