Bill Dennis, sophomore guard, has been given honorable mention on the District 1 all-star basketball team selected by members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches. District 1 encompasses the six New England states.
In an article appearing in Colliers magazine, Dennis is listed first among the players receiving honorable mention. The lists are not arranged in alphabetical order, indicating that Dennis just missed being selected for the first New England squad.
Al Schutts of Springfield and Tom O'Toole of Boston College were two opponents of the Crimson who made the first New England squad. Schutts scored 21 points against Harvard in Springfield's victory over the Crimson, and O'Toole was instrumental in the Eagles' win at the I.A.B.
