Sex and satire resulted in the indefinite suspension of "Varsity," the University of Toronto's undergraduate newspaper. The action was taken by their Student Administrative Council.
A gag issue of the "Varsity" satirized the Student Council, university president Dr. Sidney Smith, certain professors, and the university in general. The main story in the issue, headed "Remedial Sex Compulsory, SAC Finances Field Work," was allegedly a satire on Smith's annual report, which dealt with remedial English.
