HUPD Chief Says Harvard Yard Encampment is Peaceful, Defends Students’ Right to Protest
For years it has been apparent that the food at Harvard is among the best in the country. Now the City of Cambridge has come out with the conclusive proof to that effect. Not only is University food a valuable commodity in its original form, but it is also of great economic value after being served.
City Manager John B. Atkinson reports that at a recent auction of garbage (it is sold for hog food), a gentleman bid an amount much higher than any of his competitors. When questioned about his reasons, he replied that the Harvard garbage when fed to the hogs was much more nutritious than any other.
Current rumors hold that the new publicity for the city will read, "Cambridge garbage is better than ever."
