Despite rigid ceilings imposed by the government on the nation's restaurants yesterday students here should feel no effects from Square restaurants.

Local luncheonettes revealed that there would be no visible price changes due to the new ruling that meal prices be frozen in effect the week of February 3 through 9.

Jim Cronin said yesterday that he could foresee no immediate price changes. The managers of Swanny's, the University Luncheonette, and Arthur Parker's concurred, while the local Hayes-Bickford admitted that they would have to await orders from their main office in Boston.

"Schools, hospitals, and other similar institutions are not affected by these rulings," William A. Heamans, Manager of the Dining Halls Department, said when asked if the new order would affect the House Dining Halls or the Union.
