3250 Upperclassmen Fill Memorial Hall Today; Racliffe Registers 740 Women in Longfellow

Many Gripes About New Lost Week-end

Complaints at an early registration still on their lips, 740 Radcliffe upperclasswomen will march through Longfellow Hall today.

Registrar Ruth Davenport said she has received many complaints about the early registration. Girls resented coming back on Friday when classes did not begin until Monday, thus "wasting" a weekend.

Miss Davenport said the returning classes were of "average" size for the Annex.

Yesterday, 280 freshmen registered, after a week of being oriented to the ways and mores of the college and Cambridge.

Total 'Cliffe registration will hit 1375, according to Miss Davenport. This number includes 1020 undergraduates, 300 graduate students, and 55 women in the management program.

Tomorrow sees general sectioning meetings from 2 to 2:30 p.m. A to L go to to the New Lecture Hall, the rest to Memorial Hall.

Representatives of campus organizations and extra-curricular groups arrived in Cambridge last weekend for the annual Cedar Hill Conference.

The early registration will bring commencement and final exams in the spring a week earlier than usual. Freshman orientation continues through today and tomorrow, with special services in Memorial Church Sunday morning.
