All-Star Game Tomorrow at Soldiers Field

An underdog Rinehart football team, still seeking its first victory in the annual Crimson Bowl game, meets a powerful Wintergreen team at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Harvard Stadium.

Admission is free.

The Wintergreens, composed of all-star House players from Dunster, Winthrop, Adams, and Eliot will be definite favorites in the second year of the contest. Dunster is in second place in the House league, with Winthrop third, Adams fourth, and Eliot sixth.

Leverett, currently undefeated in House competition, forms the backbone of the Rinehart team. In fact, the Leverett T offense has been so strong that Rinehart coach Dick Sprague, who also coaches the Bunnies, plans to use the entire Leverett first team on defense.

Sprague will do this for two reasons. First, he has had only two days to teach his offense to members of the Kirkland, Dudley and Lowell. A smooth running offense, he feels, would be superior to a more powerful but ragged combined attack. In this game of two platoon football, Sprague will use representatives of the other Houses on defense.

"It's difficult to make a prediction," Sprague said confidently last night, "but I think we'll do all right. Some of our teams are pretty low down in the league, and the Wintergreens have more depth, but I think we'll do well.

Former varsity tackle and present Wintergreen coach Bob Stargel will have the nucleus of a powerful team back this year. He has a strong backfield, headed by the game's only scorer, Bill James, of Winthrop.
