Law Men Attack Hemenway Hours

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Changed hours for graduate students use of Hemenway Gymnasium have aroused protests from the Law School Dormitory Council and the P.B.H. Law School Committee.

The new hours, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., "are impossible for practically all law students, for they conflict with classes as well as lunch," said Maurice Dowling, spokesman for the P.B.H. Council, last night. The revision has caused cancelation of a graduate school basketball tournament.

The H.A.A. has also allotted eight of the 12 squash courts at Hemenway to the College squash team this year, leaving only four courts for the combined use of College and graduate players.

Increased College demand for athletic facilities has forced the H.A.A. to shift the hours for graduate students' use of the gym. The H.A.A. attributes this increased interest to the new College policy which includes the athletic ticket in the tuition.
