The Harvard Debate Council will engage England's University of Cambridge in a forensic duel tonight at 8 p.m. in the New Lecture Hall.
Subject of the "humorous" debate is "Resolved, That the American Dollar is God's Greatest Gift to England.
Upholding the affirmative side of the debate for Harvard are Jay Nussbaum and Frank Olsen, both seniors. Representing Cambridge on the negative side are Greville Janner and Anthony Lloyd, currently freshmen in Harvard Law School. Both graduated from Cambridge last year.
Judging the debate are Erwin Kanham, managing editor of the Christian Science Monitor and L. C. S. Barber, British Consul General of Boston. The third ballot decision will be rendered by the audience.
Janner was formerly president of the Cambridge University Debating Union. Nussbaum and Olson were formerly president and vice-president of the Harvard Debate Council, respectively.
