The application deadline for Marshall Scholarships for study in England, originally tomorrow night, has been set back to October 10, Charles P. Whitlock, Apley Senior Tutor, said last night.
Whitlock has asked students preparing applications to notify immediately the British Consul General nearest their home of the delay. The Consuls will not consider applications received after October 10.
There are 12 scholarships granted each year, three in each of four regions in this country. A committee of six Americans and the British Consul in each region make preliminary selections, with the American Ambassador in London making the final decisions.
