Courses on Communist China, Iran, New Testament Added

A study of economic developments in China, before and after the Communist Revolution and a Bible course taught by the chairman of the Board of Preachers are two of the four new half-courses added to the undergraduate curriculum for the spring term, McGeorge Bundy, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, announced last week.

George A. Buttrick, Preacher to the University, will lecture on the New Testament in Humanities 124. Titled "Introduction to the Now Testament," the course will be concerned mainly with the exposition of New Testament content and doctrine.

The final of the four new courses will be History 188, "History of Iran from 1779 to 1941." Taught by Kazemadeh, Follow in Middle Eastern Studies, the course will cover social and cultural developments as well as diplomatic and political history.
