A.F.C.A. Asks Change In '55 Football Rules

A football player who starts a quarter may re-enter the game once during that quarter, while a nonstarter may not enter twice in any one period, according to a new rule recommended by the American Football Coaches Association yesterday.

The proposed substitution regulation, along with other rules, was suggested by a committee headed by Coach Lou Little of Columbia, and will be submitted to the NCAA Monday for formal adoption in the 1955 season.
