Commuter Group Picks 'Streetcar' For First Drama

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Dudley House Dramatic Society yesterday announced casting for its first production of Tennessee Williams' "Streetcar Named Desire." A portion of the Ford Foundation grant will finance the production.

"Streetcar" will be presented next February. Fred Marker will direct the play and Jack Putnam will be the producer.

Charles P. Whitlock, Allston Burr Senior Tutor, said he expected Dramatic activity at Dudley to increase the commuter center's prestige as an integral part of the House system.

Funds for the production will be drawn from Dudley's portion of the Ford educational grant. Dudley, along with the Houses, will receive $1400 a year from the income of a part of the Foundation grant, announced last year.
