Crime Opens Doors This Week To Candidates for Four Boards

'Cliffe Comp Less Intensive

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The four boards of the CRIMSON will open their Spring Competition on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, when representatives of the news, editorial, business, and photographic staffs will discuss their work with any interested undergraduate, male or female. Competition for Radcliffe candidates will not, however, be as intensive as the one for College candidates.

Each candidate, if he decides to enter the news competition, will be assigned an editor to work with him individually. He will be expected to appear at the CRIMSON three nights each week for the first weeks of his competition.

CRIMSON facilities include a large and teeming newsroom, an Associated Press teletype machine, and a modern, well-equipped photographic darkroom. With its own cameras and a Fairchild engraving machine, the photo board has the most up-to-date equipment for producing consistently good news and feature pictures.

The Editorial board prefers to immolate itself in smoky splendor. With its own distinctive polished prose, the board offers an opportunity, through intensive criticism, for each candidate to improve his serious writing.

Valuable business training is offered by the CRIMSON'S front office, doing an annual business of more than $100,000.

So if interviewing great men, writing editorials or features, lugging strobe and graphic, or counting thousand-dollar bills interests you, or if you are just looking, come by the CRIMSON, at 14 Plympton St., on either Wednesday or Thursday nights, at 7:30 p.m.
