NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The lightweight crews will meet M.I.T. today in their first race of the season. The varsity, JV, and second freshman boats will participate.

In the varsity boat are John Powell, cox; Tom Sheffield, bow; George Krumbhaar, 2; Bill Alcorn, 3; Harry Chase, 4; Gunther Fritze, 5; Lowell McElroy, 6; captain Dick Timson, 7; and Mark Hoffman, stroke. Hoffman, stroke of last year's heavy freshman crew, has changed to the 150-pound crews.

Last year the lightweight crews made a clean sweep of the M.I.T. race. Joe Brown, coach of the 150-pounders, expects the varsity to be as good as last year's. He noted that the varsity lost no one by graduation, and said that the experienced crew had had a good time trial yesterday.

In the first freshman boat, Ron Raynolds is cox; Peter Stinton, bow; Tom Oleson, 2; Chris Bayley, 3; Lincoln Ford, 4; Roy Gosse, 5; Nick Carrera, 6; Mike Christian, 7; and Al Keller, stroke.

The second freshman boat will begin its race at 5 p.m. because of a sailing regatta. The first freshman crew will go off at 5:25, the JV at 5:50, and the varsity at 6:15.
