Chester Bowles, newly elected Representative from Connecticut's Second Congressional District, will begin his three-day stay at Winthrop House with an address on America's foreign policy, David E. Owen '27, Master of Winthrop House, announced yesterday.

After a sherry party with members of Winthrop House, Bowles will speak on one of his principal interests, the proper placing of emphasis in foreign policy, at 7:30 this evening in the Winthrop Junior Common Room. Interested students are welcome to attend.

Tomorrow noon Bowles, visiting on Winthrop's Ford Foundation funds, will be a guest at the weekly House tutors' luncheon, and Thursday he is scheduled to lunch at the Economics table.

Former Governor of Connecticut and Ambassador to India and Nepal, Bowles was the 1956 Godkin Lecturer at the University.
