University to Forbid Motorcycle Parking Overnight Near I.A.B.

The College will ban night parking of motorscooters, motorcycles, and motorbikes in the area of the old House Squash Courts. To compensate for this, the College will also build a special parking lot for such vehicles in front of Lowell House, Arthur D. Trottenberg '48, Manager of Operating Services, said yesterday.

The new rule will become effective "very soon," Trottenberg said, as soon as the lot can be built. This lot will open on Plympton St. and extend as a strip behind the Fly Club toward Holyoke Place. There will be a nominal charge to park on the new lot.

Trottenberg explained "Motorcycles have been making a nuisance of themselves," in the area concerned, disturbing the House Masters and their families. The banned area is bounded by South St., Dunster St., Mill St., and Holyoke St.
