Yardling Dean's List

The Class of '64 has placed 34.2 per cent of its members on the first semester Dean's List, according to un-official estimates from the Freshman Dean's Office. The percentage is the highest recorded in the history of the University.

This year's freshman class, described by Dean von Stade as "the most carefully selected group in Harvard's history," surpassed the previous first semester mark of 31.6 per cent set by the Class of '61. The Class of '63 had 30.7 per cent on the Dean's List at this time last year.

The number of freshman "unsatisfactory records" presently stands at 134, three less than last year's figure, and 23 less than the number of "unsatisfactories" for the November marking period.
