The Young Democrats last night endorsed two candidates for the 1962 elections: one whose student co-ordinator is president of the club, the other whose student co-ordinator is a vice-president. Endicott Peabody '42, Harvard's last football All-American, was unopposed for the gubernatorial endorsement, and Attorney General Edward J. McCormack, Jr. won the nod for U.S. Senate over Edward M. Kennedy '54 by a vote of 23 to 0, 13 abstaining.

The club's campaign committee had approved the endorsement of several other candidates including Neil Staebler, father of a former executive committee member and a recent Harvard visitor, for U.S. Congress from Michigan. However, so many YDCHR members left the meeting early that the proceedings had to be called to a halt for want of a quorum.
