Marshall L. Ganz '65 and 17 other civil rights workers who were arrested on a trespassing charge in McComb, Miss. Monday has been released and the charges against them have been dropped.
As a result of an earlier arrest, however, Ganz and eight other COFO workers were convicted and fined $50 each yesterday in McComb for "operating a food handling establishment without complying with food regulations." NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund lawyers plan to appeal the convictions.
