DRUGS AND THE UNIVERSITY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

I did not mean to imply in my interview with Mr. Brackman on Wednesday last, that there is a difference in attitude toward drug taking on the part of the University Health Services, the Administration, and the law-enforcing agencies. There is none. We all take this matter very seriously and equally so. I feel that the fact that we do not have a drug problem here at Harvard now is largely due to the fact there has been excellent cooperation within the limits of confidentiality between individuals from these three quarters. Everything that can be done to discourage the use of drugs is being carried out and in my opinion most effectively. Graham B. Blaine, Jr., M.D.   Chief, Psychiatric Service
