Despite the absence of Crimson starters Todd Wilkinson, Craig Stapleton, and Dave Benjamin, the varsity squash team completed the first half of its season at Amherst yesterday with a 6-3 victory.
As usual, it was the top part of the Crimson lineup that proved strongest. Captain Dinny Adams, Jose Gonzalez, and Rick Sterne won the first three matches by 3-1 scores.
At fourth position Steve Simpson blanked Amherst's Paul Pickert, 15-14, 15-13, 15-9. Harvard's Peter Brooks outslugged Bob Rysher in the sixth match, 3-1, Seventh man Matt Hall turned in the most impressive performance of the day, winning 15-9, 15-6, 15-9.
