Stickmen Oppose Weak Crusaders
The Harvard lacrosse team takes a 2-3 toward on the road today and should return with an easy win over Holy Cross.
It's been one of those "building years' Worcester. Last Year's attack included most of the top scorers in the nation. But their scoring punch, who produced almost ten goals per game last year in compiling a 6-7 record for the team, graduated last spring. This year, the Crusaders have compiled a 1-6 record. Their only win came three games ago over the university of Massachusetts.
Comparative scores suggest that Harvard has a 13 goal advantage. Both teams are played M.I.T. and Brown this season Holy Cross lost in both contests, to M.I.T. 11-2, and last week to Brown, 15-1. The Engineers and the Bruins are the only teams the Crimson has defeated so on the Engineers by a score of 7-5 and Bruins, 3-7.
The Harvard lineup may look a little of different today. Midfielder Dexter Bewton. who was sidelined early in the season, has been scrimmaging recently had was given the go-ahead by the doctor today's match. Midfielder Harry Van mudenallan was injured in Saturday's Princeton game and probably will not be the lineup.
After today's non-league tilt, only two names remain. The Crimson travels to smart mouth this Saturday and hosts Yale the following Saturday.
