The Harvard-Radcliffe and Harvard Law Young Democrats separately endorsed identical resolutions Wednesday evening urging the Democratic Party not to renominate President Johnson in 1968.
The College club, after a series of delays by pro-Johnson forces, backed the resolution 36 to 12; the Law School club endorsed the resolution 45 to 20.
In the past week the B.U., M.I.T., Tufts, and Wellesley chapters of the Y.D.'s all endorsed similar "Dump Johnson" resolutions by overwhelming majorities.
Dennis R. Kanin '68, chairman of the Massachusetts College Y.D.'s, said last night that "close to half" of the state Young Democrats" have decided not to support President Johnson for renomination. In Washington the Democratic National committee refused to comment on the defections.
