Junior Booters Crush M.I.T., 8-3

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The J.V. soccer team exploded with six goals in the second half yesterday to crush M.I.T., 8-3.

The victory was Harvard's sixth straight this year and its second over M.I.T. It won the last game on Tech's small field, 3-2. Yesterday the potent Crimson offense took advantage of the wide open spaces of its larger field and pumped in eight goals.

Gleason Glows

Don Gleason led the scoring with two goals. Sophomores Bob Galliers, Mike Schwayder, and Ben Phinney, junior Frank Jurado, and seniors John Camp and Pedro Alarcon accounted for the rest of Harvard's points with one goal apiece.

Harvard's J.V. has never been defeated its five-year history. In the next three weeks, the junior booters face tough teams from Princeton, Brown, and Yale.
