The Harvard basketball team swings through New Haven and Providence this weekend seeking to upset third place Yale and to stay a step ahead of last place Brown.

Last Friday Harvard overcame a 13-point lead to grab a slim advantage with five minutes left to go, but the Elis'Ed Goldstone tallied a quick ten points to repulse the game Crimson.

Goldstone scored 31 overall last week breaking through an ineffective desperation press. He must be stopped tonight. Helping the 6 ft. 4 in. Yale last week were exciting guard Rick Stoner and aggressive Frank Wisneski. And the Crimson encounders had fits trying to contain Goldstone and Rick Johnson underneath

Against Brown last Saturday. Harvard raced to a 92-77 win as Coach Floyd Wilsons onewest lineup combination finally jelled "Rabbit" Gallagher scored 23 and cleared the boards and Jeff Grate dropped in a couple of crucial three-pointers near the end to ice the game.

Playing alongside Gallagher up front were Bob Johnson, Barth Royer, and Bob Kanuth. Johnson flashed his usual densive wizardry, on one block he nearly jumped out of the IAB. Royer floated up his soft jumper for 15 big points. Grate had a fine and Gane Dressler added some pretty assists.

For Brown Billy Reynolds threw in a few outside jump shots and Dave Gale and Steve Sigur worked fairly competenty around the bucket, but it was pretty much a Crimson night.

This is the last road trip of a pretty disappointing season, for Harvard. The Crimson has won only two of 11 Ivy League games and stands just a gasp above ast-place Brown.
